This website and all domain names are a trading style of CATERING EQUIPMENT EXPRESS LIMITED. The continued use of this website and submission of any order is an acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Welcome to our on-line store. Catering Equipment Express has previously served customers in the UK by conventional ‘mail order’ and the company has built up a reputation for reliability and customer service.
We can now offer you the same level service from our online store right here with our exciting brand new website. We are highly experienced in the Catering Equipment Industry and with this in mind we can ensure that you, the customer, will receive the best service and customer satisfaction.
You can now view the range of products on our website and order the products that you want online, secure in the knowledge that our level of customer service is of the highest standard. We have partnered with Google Checkout, one of the most respected brands on the internet, in order to bring you the highest levels of security when making your purchase.
Apitel accept no liability whatsoever for incidents, accidents or injuries arising from incorrectly fitted accessories or the use of any product which is incompatible with a particular purpose. All installations must conform to regulations and be carried out by certified tradesmen. Persons using our products must ensure that they are fit for the purpose, that a risk assessment has been carried out, that all due diligence is given to health and safety and that all necessary safety gear is in use (Including safety clothing where appropriate).
The Customer/ End user MUST ENSURE that any product is suitable for the use to which it is put and nothing stated on this website overrides this responsibility.
We have no minimum order value and delivery charges will be stated where they apply. Please note that although we endeavour to deliver to all parts of the UK we reserve the right to modify or increase delivery charges where geography and local conditions mean that we will incur additional costs. We do not currently deliver to territories outside of the United Kingdom.
Unfortunately, all prices are liable to increase without notice and these increases are usually down to manufacturers changing prices at short notice these increases are invariably outside of our control.
We will always attempt to honour quoted prices but we do reserve the right to change prices without notice. In the unlikely event that the cost of your order differs from that quoted, we will contact you either by telephone, letter or e-mail to request further instructions from yourself.
All prices on our website are exclusive of VAT. VAT will be added at the checkout at the prevailing rate of UK VAT at the time of order. The current rate of VAT is 20% unless otherwise stated. Nothing in this statement overrides the liability of our company to charge the prevailing rate of VAT. Certain items may be exempt from VAT. Exempt or non VAT items are not necessarily identified separately. If you are VAT registered and intend to reclaim the VAT you will require a comprehensive VAT receipt which will, of course, categorise all items. Please contact us if a more detailed VAT receipt is required.
Ordering By Post
We accept orders by post and to do this, you will need to contact the office using the contact number shown on the contact page. We will discuss your requirements and confirm stock availability. We will then issue a reference and instruct you on where to send your payment. Orders by post can be paid by Bank Transfer, Google Invoice, Cheque or postal order. (Please do not send cash).
All cheques need to be made payable to ‘Catering Equipment Express’ and on the reverse of the cheque can you please write your cheque card number, expiry date and the cheque card guarantee limit. Business cheques will be accepted but goods will not be despatched until we are in receipt of cleared funds.
When ordering items and paying by cheque, goods will be despatched once the cheque has cleared and we will keep you updated on the despatch date.
AND NOW… you can order on-line using our brand new secure shopping site. Available on-line is our complete product listings, including sizes, colours, prices, specifications and availability. Our website is updated on a daily basis and should you not be able to find what you are looking for, it may just be that we have simply sold out, so please, let us know and we will do our very best to get it for you.
Postage and packaging within the United Kingdom is included in our prices where stated - This excludes the Scottish Highlands, Ireland and Channel Islands. Please contact us to find out the postage rate for these or other non UK mainland addresses. If an item does not appear with a ‘Buy Now’ button then it may be that these are bulky or fragile goods which are only available for collection or by special delivery. Please call for details.
Where goods are paid for by credit or debit card for shipment to the cardholders address then the goods will be despatched as soon as possible. Goods are despatched using our chosen courier service and are usually despatched on the same or next (working) day, delivery is usually within 3 to 5 days. However, in order to take account of unforeseen circumstances, customers should allow 14 days for delivery.
Goods for immediate delivery will only be despatched where the cardholders address and the delivery address are one and the same. If another address is to be used for delivery then a special security procedure applies and this may impact upon delivery times.
We will be pleased to ship to any delivery address designated by the cardholder at the time of checkout. However, in the interests of fraud prevention if another delivery address is to be used we will not despatch goods before making sufficient enquiries so as to satisfy ourselves as to the validity of the transaction. Any order where an alternative address is entered for delivery will trigger a letter to the cardholders address containing a security phrase or code. The cardholder will be required to call the office and quote the security information before goods are released for despatch. Clearly this will affect delivery times but it only applies to any transaction where the delivery address is other than the cardholders address.
Postage is not refundable on returns. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affect your statutory rights and we adhere strongly to the provisions of the DISTANCE SELLING REGULATIONS. Due to Health and Safety considerations - Goods are delivered to customers’ doorstep only.
By agreeing to our Terms you are agreeing to our SHIPPING TERMS.
Refunds will be made for all items returned (at customers expense) which are unused, not damaged, still in the original packaging, still have any labels or tickets on them within 7 days of receiving them. In line with the Distance Selling Directive (This does not affect your statutory rights). ALL RETURNED GOODS MUST BE NOTIFIED TO THE COMPANY, BY EMAIL, BEFORE THEY ARE RETURNED. CUSTOMERS WILL BE ISSUED WITH A RETURNS NUMBER AND RETURN INSTRUCTIONS BY EMAIL. RETURNED GOODS WHICH HAVE NOT BEEN ISSUED WITH A RETURNS NUMBER WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Please take care to pack the returning item carefully to avoid any damage and enclose with it any documentation that was sent with your order. Also ensure the returning items are insured against loss/damage.
Goods damaged in transit MUST be reported to the company on the day of receipt - verbally to our customer care line. In addition, this must be followed by written communication within 24 hours.
Please note that goods returned under complaint will not be accepted unless clean and tidy. Health & Safety Act 1972.
Our office/ customer support/ orderliness are open Monday to Friday from 0900 hours to 1700 hours and Saturday 1000 hours to 1200 hours UK local time - the website is open 24 hours, 7 days a week:
The office and customer support lines are closed on all Bank Holiday Monday's, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
Please be aware that when orders placed using the online shop will be processed for despatch during the same or next working day. Customers should make allowances for this when calculating delivery dates.
These terms and conditions do not affect your consumer statutory rights. Your continued use of this website is taken as your agreeing to the terms and conditions.
Limitation Of Liability
The Web site is provided to you on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranty being given in relation to the Web site including (but not limited to) implied warranties of non-infringement, compatibility, security, accuracy or any implied warranty arising from course of dealing or usage or trade.
We make no warranty that the Web site will meet your requirements or will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free, that defects will be corrected or that the site or the server(s) that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs.
We will not be responsible or liable to you for any loss of material uploaded or transmitted through the Web site.
We will not be liable in contract, tort, negligence, for pre-contract or other representations (other than fraudulent or negligent representations) or otherwise out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions of Use for: • any economic loss (including without limitation loss of revenues, profits, contracts, business or anticipated savings); or • any special or indirect losses whatsoever.
You agree to fully indemnify, defend and hold us, and our officers, directors, employees, agents and suppliers, harmless immediately on demand, from and against all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of any breach of these Terms & Conditions of Use by you or other liabilities arising out of your use of the Web site
Each provision of these Terms & Conditions of Use shall be construed separately and independently of each other and the validity of any one part shall not affect the validity of any other part.
These Terms & Conditions of Use shall be governed by the laws of England and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English court.
All errors and omissions are excepted.
A contract between Catering Equipment Express and the Customer begins when the Goods have been despatched - obvious computer errors in pricing will not be honoured.
PLEASE NOTE: PRICES AND PROMOTIONS MAY BE CHANGED WITHOUT NOTICE. ALL ITEMS ARE OFFERED FOR SALE ON A GOOD FAITH BASIS. NO WARRANTY IS GIVEN THAT GOODS ARE IN STOCK OR AVAILABLE.
ANY CONTRACT BETWEEN THE COMPANY AND CUSTOMER DOES NOT COMMENCE UNTIL THE GOODS HAVE BEEN ORDERED AND PAID FOR.
ALL GOODS ARE AS DESCRIBED BUT CUSTOMERS ARE REMINDED THAT, DUE TO THE REPRODUCTIVE PROPERTIES OF THE INTERNET AND BROWSERS, THERE MAY BE SLIGHT VARIANCES TO COLOURS ON SCREEN.
